Trend is how much the medical market prices are rising from year to year.  It's a dynamic measurement and always moving throughout the year.

In its simplest form trend means what the cost of services and goods were one year ago -  is today that price plus the amount the cost have trended upward since last year.  By example if trend is running 15% this year, what you paid a dollar for one year ago you will now have to pay $1.15.  It's part of your renewal calculation.     Return to the Previous Page
